Practice makes Perfect. That’s what they say. I’m a maker who gets obsessed with new hobbies. I actually don’t strive for perfection. No one’s ART is really perfect because there’s no such thing. But i do strive for better. Better than yesterday… than last week or last month or last year. You’ll probably notice changes to my work as I add newer items & improve my technique.
I’ve decided to make galleries of my work by year to document the progression of my style. This page is the hub of all of my creative works where you can link to each yearly gallery. From fiber arts to pottery & maybe a little photography now & then.
I never intended for my pottery to be a business. I am just practicing & enjoying a hobby that I’ve wanted to learn since high school but never did. If you buy one of my pots, I get to buy more clay & glaze & cover the cost of my tools. The coolest thing is- I really don’t make any 2 the same. Many potters will mass produce shapes & color combos. I’m just doing this for enjoyment & experiments. If my pottery finds itself in your home- it’s a one of a kind, handmade item & there’s not another like it!!! I can express my creativity & hopefully someone else loves using it as much as I loved making it.
Glazes on food-contact surfaces are food save unless indicated. All are safe in the dishwasher but some metallic glazes could dull so it’s never a bad idea to hand wash! Glazes are microwave safe unless otherwise stated at point of sale (FYI- stoneware gets hot so handle with care). Please don’t let the unglazed parts of your pots sit in yucky sink water.
